About the event
The UP Film Institute in collaboration with Lupon ng Pilipinong Sinematograpo (LPS), Aputure, and Birns & Sawyer, in association with PELIKULA: A Journal of Philippine Cinema and Moving Image, will hold a roundtable discussion featuring a rare gathering of the country's premier women cinematographers.
Join us in this safe space as we discuss the personal histories of how these women became cinematographers in the larger context of male-dominated Philippine cinema and learn about the realities of media culture in the country. We will also talk about their art and collaboration with filmmakers to visualize popular, prizewinning, and cutting-edge works.
